This manually operated hydraulic clamping system is characterized by a precise positioning of the clamping devices between the centers. This design enables precise assembly and exact workpiece position-ing – both for machining and for high-precision measuring tasks that require absolute run-out accuracy and repeatability.
It is operated by hand using a manual clamping screw. When the clamping screw is actuated, the oil in the closed system is compressed via a piston, causing the clamping area to expand evenly and cylin-drically within elastic range. In combination with permanently elastic clamping bushes and a closed clamping surface, this results in even workpiece clamping – ideal for bore centering.
